Introduction:

Process Improvement models provide a very useful framework for establishing and developing best practices and enhanced capabilities. However, by definition, they are necessarily generic and lacking in detailed guidance. As a result, they often pose more questions than answers.

Based upon best practices developed and implemented in the real-world, this session will provide practical insights into critical aspects of effectively utilizing CMMI while ensuring a drama-free appraisal. All delivered with a strong dose of common sense, and a dash of humor.

Learning Objectives:

Contains both Intermediate and Beginning level concepts:

  • Proven (not theoretical) strategies and best practices for successful CMMI implementations
  • Insight into translating CMMI model requirements into appropriately scaled local process solutions
  • The key ingredients for a successful SCAMPI appraisal
  • Avoiding some of the most common misconceptions and pitfalls in implementing CMMI based process
  • Top tips for success with CMMI!
